ABOUT ME

Hi, my name is Vanessa Arena, I am a graduate from Fanshawe College's Honours Bachelor of Interior Design Program.

​

During my time at Fanshawe College I was able to expand my academic knowledge within the interior design industry and gained hands on experience that will help me move forward in this field. I learned how to transform concepts and idealizations into three-dimensional, functional designs by studying environmental psychology and human connections within spaces. I also became skilled in programs such as AutoCad, SketchUp, Revit, Lumion, Podium, Adobe and Microsoft Office. Over the four years the Fanshawe College Interior Design Program covered projects in many areas, going from healthcare, residential, hospitality to commercial which have all required the use of detailed millwork drawings, annotated plans and reference to the Ontario Building Code.

Aside from my schooling I have three years experience in customer service and completed my co-op term with EllisDon in Toronto, Ontario. I am very passionate about design, and with the knowledge and experience gained I would love to continue my journey within the industry.
