Groups were formed and made responsible for designing a library space for the public with the existing building structure. The existing library has a kinetic skin wrapped around the exterior that controls the heat from the sunlight, allowing users to stay cool and have shade but still have access to natural daylight.

 

Our groups concept was based on a cloud. We decided that because the location of the library was in the middle of the desert the space could be viewed as a sanctuary.
